Woodvilla Lodge
We decided as a family to go away for a weekend together – all 11 of us comprising 9 adults and 2 children. The challenge was to find somewhere not too far away from our mainly Midland / Dublin base as it had to be fairly accessible with 2 fairly young children . After some research , I came across Woodvilla Lodge and it seemed to tick all the boxes – easily accessible, suitable accommodation for all, near the sea, enclosed and safe for children & the dog! Austin & Julie were very welcoming when we arrived & had left a welcome pack in the kitchen – even going so far as to accommodate our GF preferences. The house was very clean and comfortable and the bedrooms
well organised especially the “family room” . There was plenty of hideaways for those who needed quiet time. Outside the garden was colourful and mature and very thoughtfully laid out. It was safe and secure with toys and equipment the girls could use. We were quite close to the shops so stocking up on essentials was not a problem . We ate out in Mary Barry’s nearby , walked the beach & some
of the group tried out the beach sauna also . This is a part of the country we were not very familiar with and we were not disappointed. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay & everyone was very enthusiastic about a return trip next year .
